Effective October 12, 2020, the Entrepreneurs Sandbox is open with limited services according to our COVID-19 Protocol. The main doors to the Sandbox are locked. Please call (808) 784-4061 for access, during business hours.

Effective October 26, 2020, all members of the Sandbox Community (coworking members, tenants, staff, visitors) must complete a check-in and receive a “cleared to use the Sandbox status” via LumiSight Workplace before entering the Sandbox. Upon entering the Sandbox, all members of the Sandbox Community must use the thermal scanners located at the entrances.

New coworking memberships, day passes, and reservations of conference rooms are allowed. Members and guests entering the Sandbox agree to the COVID-19 Certification and Liability Release Notice on the main doors.

Services will be increased based on a carefully monitored phased-plan roll-out, in alignment with City and State Reopening Strategies, and with safety as the first priority to our community. Changes to be made through amendments and communicated to Members. If any clarification is needed or concerns to be expressed, please contact us at info@sandboxhawaii.org.

PHASE III Updated – Jan 29, 2021

  1. Sandbox Facility Services 

    1. Hours open to public (guests allowed): Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm 

    2. Cowork: Expanding coworking space to include the Makerspace (109) when Makerspace is not in use

      1. Maximum capacity of the Collaboration Space (main coworking space) – 20 coworkers

      2. Maximum capacity of the Makerspace (109): 10 coworkers

      3. Tables will be designated with either a (1) User or (2) user limit

      4. Face masks are required at your desk with the exception of eating and drinking.

    3. Memberships: New monthly memberships and Day Passes are allowed. 

  2. Dedicated Desks, Suite 102: Open to all dedicated desk members. Modifications made to allow for a COVID-19-friendly environment. 

  3. 2nd Floor Offices: Open to tenants provided safe social distance practices are maintained. 

  4. Event Space

    1. Expanding maximum attendees: 25 attendees*

      *COVID-19 layout restrictions apply   

    2. Available to members and the public for reservation. 

    3. Restricted to business and educational events only. 

    4. Hours: Available during business hours and after hours (weekends and after 4:30pm on weekdays) 

    5. Events per week: No limit with an updated cleaning schedule to ensure member safety.

  5. Conference rooms (Rooms 104, 105, 201): Available for reservation with guests. 

    1. Maximum capacity for Rooms 104 and 105: 3 meeting attendees 

    2. Maximum capacity for Room 201: 5 meeting attendees

    3. Available to members and the public for reservation.

  6. Makerspace (Room 109): Available for reservation with guests.

    1. Maximum Capacity for Room 109: 15 meeting attendees

II. GENERAL FACILITY SERVICES

A. Offices Supplies. Limited office supplies and equipment to be provided in common areas (copier, stapler, scissors, tape etc..). Members are responsible to take their own precautions when using shared office resources. Sanitizers and disinfecting wipes to be made readily available near stations.

B. Facility A/C
i. A/C is on default to circulate fresh air throughout the system.

ii. T-stats controllers for individual areas of the facility to be turned on by staff in the morning for areas in use.

iii. T-stat controllers for 2nd floor private offices will be on auto timer from 7am-7pm, M-F. iv. Auto default shut-off at 7pm everyday for all controllers.

C. Community Kitchen

i. Coffee Kuerig to be made available with guidelines for use and to be used at Members own discretion. Members to use their own cups and condiments.

ii. No shared community kitchen supplies and dish rack provided at this time. Dish soap will be available. Members are expected to clean dishes, dry, and be put away immediately.

III. CLEANING & SANITIZATION OF SANDBOX

A. General cleaning and sanitization of the entire facility during the workday.

i. High touch surfaces – Every hour (average)

Focus Areas: main entry doors, railing, elevator buttons, internal common area door handles, etc..

ii. Bathrooms – 3x a day

iii. General common areas – 2x a day

Focus Areas: General main event/cowork space, conference rooms, 2nd floor training rooms, elevator, kitchen, lobby, etc… includes table tops and chairs, chair arm rests.

iv. Dedicated desks in Suite 102, Makerspace (Suite 109) and CID (Suite 107) space – 2x a day

v. Tenant offices, 2nd floor – 1x a day (includes general cleaning services: trash, vacuuming)

vi. Overall facility deep cleaning services on weekends:

a. May 31, 2020

b. Bi-weekly

B. Sanitization stations. Sandbox to provide hand sanitizer stations at each entry/exit of the facility including elevators, water station, bathrooms. Hand pumps to be provided in areas around the co-work space including all conference rooms.

IV. SOCIAL DISTANCING

A. Members should maintain a 6-foot physical distance from other Members at all times.

B. Masks required.

i. Members (and limited guests per guidelines) are responsible for bringing and wearing their own personal masks (and gloves) upon Sandbox entry.

ii. The Sandbox will have a very limited supply of masks and gloves to sell.

C. Non-compliance. Sandbox management has the right to ask Attendees to leave the premises should non-compliance to Sandbox COVID protocols not be adhered to.

V. COVID REMEDIATION PLANS

A. The Sandbox has bought into a professional remediation plan, in the unforeseeable event that a COVID case has been identified in the facility.

B. Should a COVID case be found, professional services to be rendered immediately followed with further direction and details to be provided to members.

i. Notify members

ii. Close for an appropriate amount of time

iii. Deep professional cleaning of facility

iv. Continual communication with members on status and plan.

VI. RESPONSIBILITY OF MEMBER

A. The Sandbox Management will in its best effort do what we can to ensure a safe and productive environment for all. However, Members and Guests shall remain responsible for their own health and safety while using the facility.

i. Adhere to the Sandbox guidelines and COVID protocol in place.

ii. Use sanitizer provided at the entrances prior to entry (and exit).

iii. Clean your immediate area before and after use. This includes table tops, arm rests, and any handles etc..

iv. Wash your hands for 20 seconds.

v. Know when you are touching a high touch surface (buttons, handles etc..) or using a high traffic community area (privacy booths, conference rooms, cowork space) and use available sanitizer to clean the area before and after use. Although the Sandbox will be providing regular cleaning services, Members will still need to take responsibility for their own safety. This includes personal decisions and precautions to use these areas of high traffic, and the Sandbox (as a known community space) in general.

vi. Self-check prior to arriving at the Sandbox: take temperature reading, if you suspect you are sick, feeling unwell, or have been exposed, STAY AT HOME.

vii. If Member is diagnosed with COVID, Member is required to report their case to Sandbox Management immediately.

viii. Use common sense. We trust all of our Members will make intelligent choices!
